So, the ultimate question is...

Who's ready for The Walking Dead to come back on in October?? And if you are, what do you want to happen Question

I want them to all die, that way it will be realistic.

I don't see that being very realistic, in all honesty. But knowing a lot from the comics, a lot of people are going to die, and more will come into the group, and some more will die. I still have a feeling that Rick is immune.

All of the people would be turned into zombies, than the virus would adapt to over lifeforms and eventually everything will be a frickin' zombie. Then the zombies would all die causing every plant on Earth ever to die.
Then the cycle would start over again from the very first pathetic lifeforms that marked the beginning of an ecosystem on this tiny rock covered in water...

That is all dependent on the nature of the virus. On the Walking Dead, the virus only infects humans, and only activates after the person dies, but is dormant in people while they are living, so once they die, the virus starts to reanimate dead cells.
This means that not all people would be turned, there would be survivors, as long as people weren't stupid, and had the will to live. As far as all plants and animals dying, the virus on the show does not cross species, and definitely doesn't kill plants. So it wouldn't destroy all life, and the population of the world's living would shrink dramatically, but they have potential to outlast the infected.
One thing I don't understand is how the infected don't starve? I understand it should take them longer to decay and everything, but without food on a regular basis I think they would become too decayed and brittle after a few short weeks without a meal.

Ok, look, viruses and such can adapt to other beings, they have done it many-a-times before, the reason the plants would die is because there would be no carbon-dioxide for them to live off as all the frickin' animals would be dead. (animals=carbon-dioxide, plants=oxygen, no animals (because they were all turned into zombies and died)=no carbon-dioxide for plants to survive off of)

You are assuming that the virus is just going to exterminate all humans, and animals, the odds that a mass extinction that big, would mean the loss of thousands of carbon dioxide producing animals, and humans. The odds of that are indescribably small. That would mean that, the virus will have to start some place, lets use the recent game "The Last Of Us" as an example. There is a fungus that has modified itself to jump from ants, to humans, which would take 100's if not thousands of years, because that fungus has been actually affecting ants in real life, for atleast that long. So at that rate, that it took to jump just one species, it would have to jump from us, to thousands of other species, faster than the infected species dies out, so that the fungus doesn't lose the hosts.
The situation you are proposing would have to be under PERFECT circumstances, to even be logical. Not to mention, that animals aren't the only source of carbon dioxide, so plants would not die, this virus would in no way exterminate everything, unless it had thousands of years to mutate, or has perfect circumstances to rapidly mutate, which would stay take an extremely long time. So in other words, it would have to be developed, by humans, and a new strand of the virus, would have to be made, before it is released, for every different species, which would take a ridiculous amount of time to develop, way longer than anyone would be able to dedicate.
Not trying to sound rude or abrupt, just trying to be logical.

Then just humans would die. Yay for humans.

Also, what else is a source of carbon dioxide?

Volcanoes, geysers hot springs, and a few other naturally occurring events on Earth produce carbon dioxide.
